“We were hosting our own exchange server for a time, but managing your own server can be a full time job and we had 50-75 email accounts at any given time. When it came time to upgrade, I compared the costs of building a new exchange server and maintaining it. After comparing the price for hardware, software (exchange and firewall security) and maintenance on our own server over a 5 year period, I decided to look at 3rd party providers. The quote I received from Nirix was obviously the better way to go for us. They made the email transfer progress from our own server fairly painless.
We have never had an email outage and Nirix is very diligent at sending out warnings about after hours maintenance that might possibly affect our service briefly. The best thing I can say about the support is that I’ve never really had to use it. I think in the entire time I’ve been using them I’ve only had to contact them for a configuration issue a handful of times and they were quick to respond and provide the information I needed or a fix within hours if not immediately.
As we are using exchange and the push service that accompanies it, we have never noticed a delay in emails. I am also impressed with their spam filtering. We primarily use Outlook for emailing as well as the default email program on most devices. Occasionally someone will have to get into their email without having access to their devices and I can direct them to the Nirix site where they can input their credentials and log in directly with a similar interface.”
