From the moment you use oneBackup it is busy making sure only those you want to access your data can. From encryption techniques to several overlapping datacenter security measures, oneBackup ensures your data stays secure.
If everything for you business is on 1 PC we’ve got a plan for that. For the rest of you, back up as many PCs as you like.
No File Size Limits
Need to back up your raw video footage? How’s your archived photo library? With oneBackup you can protect your files regardless of their size.
Your business is meant to grow and oneBackup is made to grow with it. Whether you are a one man shop or 100 strong, we can back up your hard work.
99.9% Guaranteed Service Uptime
A backup service is useless if it’s unreliable. That’s why our Service Level Agreement guarantees oneBackup to be up and running 99.9% of the time.
Seed Load Capable
For large amounts of data it is quicker to physically ship a hard drive with your data so we can directly upload it to out servers. After that incremental changes in your data are backed up via the cloud.
Reverse Seed Load
In the event that you need a large amount of data we can ship you an ecrypted hard drive with your backups so you can directly restore the data you need.
After the original file is backed up only the incremental changes are backed up in subsequent backups. This reduces storage space and speeds up backup times.
From office documents to media files, oneBackup can back them up without breaking a sweat. Even back up Microsoft Exchange databases and Microsoft SQL servers.
Back Up Your Hardware
Back up your desktop, laptop, external hard drives NAS box or server.
For the Pro and Starter plan there is no contract. You can either choose to pay for oneBackup monthly or yearly. In both cases you can cancel at any time. There is an agreement for the Enterprise plan.
Currently Windows Vista, 7 and 8 are supported for the Starter and Pro plan. We are working on a Mac version but have not yet released it. The Enterprise plan supports those operating systems along with OSX and Linux.
Cloud Computing relies on transferring files and data over the Internet. Transmitting or copying files over the Internet without any sort of security (e.g. VPNs, SSL, PGP, Encryption Certificates) to guard your confidential data is NOT safe. However, NIRIX’s oneBackup service is highly secured and complies with industry standard encryption methods like AES, TripleDES and TwoFish. NIRIX’s oneBackup service protects your information with:
A secured portal login page featuring encrypted SSL Certificates ensuring that your login and login credentials are safe.
Point-to-Point SSL communication between server and client.
Secure encryption of all data stored on NIRIX offsite data backup servers through 128-bit and 256-bit symmetric key encryption (AES, Triple DES, TwoFish).
Random Initializing Vector — a salt and iteration count is automatically generated by the software for EACH file when data is being encrypted.
Choose between encryption modes: either Electronic Cook Book (ECB) or Cipher Chain Block (CBC). 1024-bit RSA public key encryption (used by most certificate authorities today) for offsite data backup traffic.
If you get the Starter or Pro Plan you get something called Cloud Plus for free. Cloud Plus shrinks your data so it counts for less towards your storage quota. On average our users are able to fit 200 GB of regular, uncompressed data into the 100 GB Starter Plan. In this example it essentially doubles your space. It all depends on how well your data compresses though.
All data transmitted to NIRIX’s offsite data backup server at our secured datacenter are encrypted with your self-assigned encrypting key before it is sent to us. The encrypting key is NOT stored at NIRIX, nor is it stored on our remote backup servers. Without your encrypting key, the managed backup files are rendered useless to anyone and everyone. Only the user who knows the encrypting key can get access to the managed backup files to retrieve the original content.
Through independent audits NIRIX’s world-class datacenter has several certifications and compliances that prove it's datacenter follows the industry's best practises when it comes to customers' privacy and data security.
