256 Bit Encryption
All data is compressed and encrypted with 256-bit encryption on your own computer before being uploaded and stored in the cloud. This makes it safe and fast. High grade encryption ensures only those with the encryption key can access/read the data.
Secure Data Transfer
Once encrypted the data is sent to our datacenter via a secure SSL connection.
User Set Encryption Keys
When data is encrypted it is done with an encryption key. An encryption key is a series of numbers and letters used to scramble data during encryption. In order to encrypt data using oneBackup SMB the user must select the encryption key as opposed to the cloud assigning them an encryption key. This is the safest way to protect your data. Even we can’t read your data.
Our world-class datacentre in Edmonton, Alberta features advanced security and fire suppression systems, uninterrupted power supplies (UPS), and a high-capacity backup diesel generator.
