Another big change with the release of oneBackup V2.0 is our user interface (UI) design. Yes, we have decided to completely revamp the entire UI with the goal of delivering improving user experience (UX). As most developers know, such decision is not an easy decision as it requires a great deal of time to change the entire UI let alone the underlying code base. But we did it and we are very excited about the new UI/UX framework.
Again, oneBackup V2.0 is our first cloud service that will be leveraging this new design model and framework. We will be launching more and more of our business cloud services using this design model and framework in the months to come.
So what is new about this design and why do we like it?
With the release of oneBackup V2.0, we are introducing a new technology code named the “Hyper-Hive”. This is a new technology and is one of the core components of NIRIX’s cloud platform. It will allow our developers to develop and implement new features and functions across all of NIRIX’s business cloud services starting with oneBackup V2.0 and other cloud services in the near future.
On July 27, 2015, NIRIX will be rolling out oneBackup V2.0. This is a major release hence the change in the major version number. So why is it a major release? What are the big changes and improvements with this release. I am glad you asked.
One of the biggest new change is the introduction of new service plans. With this new round of service plans, users will have unprecedent level of flexibility to scale up or scale down the cloud backup storage capacity.

Easy Backup & Restore
Setting up a backup is pretty straight forward. You select the folders and files you want backed up and a schedule for when you want them backed up. oneBackup SMB will continue to back up the changes to your data. Once you want to restore the data you select the folders and files you want to restore, the location you want them to be restored to and click RESTORE.[/one_half]
256 Bit Encryption
All data is compressed and encrypted with 256-bit encryption on your own computer before being uploaded and stored in the cloud. This makes it safe and fast. High grade encryption ensures only those with the encryption key can access/read the data.
Secure Data Transfer
Once encrypted the data is sent to our datacenter via a secure SSL connection.
User Set Encryption Keys
When data is encrypted it is done with an encryption key. An encryption key is a series of numbers and letters used to scramble data during encryption. In order to encrypt data using oneBackup SMB the user must select the encryption key as opposed to the cloud assigning them an encryption key. This is the safest way to protect your data. Even we can’t read your data.
