UPDATED – New iOS and Android app not recommended for oneExchange and oneDesktop users.
Update February 11, 2015 – Upon further investigation of this application we’ve found several issues with it that breach NIRIX security and privacy policy. They are as follows:
- This application stores user’s credentials (user ID and password) on Amazon servers in the USA.
- This application stores user’s personal email, calendars, and contacts on Amazon servers in the USA.
- This application restricts remote wipe capabilities.
- This application will saturate the customer’s internet connection with constant updates between the customer’s device and Amazon servers.
Given the above security concerns, NIRIX is recommending our oneDesktop and oneExchange customers not install this application.
The application for iOS is called Microsoft Outlook Preview.
The application for Android is called Microsoft Outlook.
