If you have a scheduled backup job to run automatically on a pre-defined schedule and you notice that perhaps it is not running as you expect, you can follow the instruction below to ensure that your backup scheduler is running.
Installation instructions for Novell clients only.
In order to have your backup jobs run as per your defined schedule, we recommend that you load the Scheduler.ncf executable via the autoexec.ncf file at boot time. This way you can ensure that the backup jobs always run in the event the server is restarted or rebooted.
Step 1
Navigate and find the autoexec.ncf file (typically located in SYS:\SYSTEM.

Step 2
Edit the autoexec.ncf and add in the line to
load "scheduler.ncf", so that it will be loaded during boot time. The backup scheduler should be running now as per defined in your backup schedule.
